Care that goes beyond the first visit.
Thoughtful, individualized care takes time.
At AK Wellness, we start by understanding your story, look deeper when needed, and build a plan with the support to put it into practice.

To get started…
01 — Start with a comprehensive first visit
First, I want to understand the whole picture.
Your first appointment is a 90-minute comprehensive visit. We'll talk through what's been happening, your health history, symptoms, nutrition, medications and supplements, sleep, stress, lifestyle, previous testing, and what you hope to change.
You don't need to arrive knowing which tests you need or what might be causing your symptoms. That's what we'll work through together.
02 — Decide what deserves a closer look
Testing with a purpose.
After your initial visit, we'll decide whether additional information would actually be useful. That may include reviewing previous records, conventional bloodwork, or targeted specialty testing when appropriate.
Testing isn't the goal. Understanding what's influencing your health is.
03 — Turn what we learn into a plan
A plan designed for real life.
We'll review what we've learned together and build a personalized plan based on your priorities and what makes sense clinically. Depending on your needs, that may include nutrition, lifestyle, supplements, medications, additional evaluation, or referral.
And you don't have to figure out how to implement it on your own.
Follow-up care gives us time to see what's working, troubleshoot what's difficult, make adjustments, and continue moving forward.
Testing may include

-
Testing can evaluate vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, organic acids, and markers of oxidative stress.
-
Testing may include thyroid, metabolic, adrenal/cortisol, and sex hormone evaluation.
-
Specialty stool testing can provide information about digestive function, inflammation, and patterns within the gut microbiome.
-
Breath testing can evaluate hydrogen, methane, and hydrogen sulfide when clinically appropriate.
-
Select testing can evaluate exposure to mycotoxins, heavy metals, and other environmental chemicals.
-
Genetic information may be considered when it has the potential to meaningfully inform care.
—The Rooted Method —
When your health needs a closer look
The Rooted Method is a 16-week personalized care experience for patients who need more than a single visit.
Together, we take the time to understand your history, identify the patterns that may be contributing to your symptoms, use testing thoughtfully when it can help answer a clinical question, and build a plan designed for your real life.
Rather than leaving you with a long list of recommendations after your results visit, we stay connected as you put your plan into practice—adjusting along the way as your body responds.
“Alani took the time to understand the whole picture—not just my child’s symptoms. I felt heard as a parent, and for the first time we had a plan that felt thoughtful, manageable, and specific to my child.”
